It is easier to travel to Skegness today than it has ever been with fast trains, express coach services and a network of main roads heading right into Lincolnshire.

On your journey to Skegness, tune into the local radio travel information at BBC Lincolnshire 94.9FM and 104.7FM or Lincs FM 102.2, who will highlight any possible delays on your route.

East Midlands Trains run the service to and from the Skegness Railway Station at Lumley Square and direct connections are available from Nottingham or, on the Poacher Line, via Grantham: This provides a regular train service linking Skegness and its coastline to the rest of the UK rail network.

Skegness Coach Station is at Richmond Drive and is open daily throughout the year. Coach excursions run from most major midlands towns and cities to the resort throughout the summer season.

National Express has a daily service to and from Skegness. In addition to the regular service, extra coaches run from all over the UK to Skegness and Butlins (Skegness) on Mondays and Fridays from the end of April to the end of October.

If you’re driving to Skegness then

you will access it from London via the A1 and then the A16. From the Midlands you will travel along the A52 or A158. The Northern route is via the A15 or the M180 and then the A16. As you travel towards our resort you will find that the pace of life slows down and the roads become less fraught with busy commuter traffic…. Start to relax, you’re nearly here.

Once you get to Skegness there are plenty of Pay and Display car parking facilities throughout the town; the larger sites are located at the North End, Seaview Road, North Parade and Tower Esplanade - adjacent to the Clock Tower. There are many smaller car parks also along the main promenade area. Although there is roadside parking within the residential areas, this is rarely available for general day visitor parking during the holiday season, so it is usually recommended that you use the main car parking areas.
